TmaxSoft wins deal to supply database system

Korail_logoThe Korean Suseo High-Speed Railway (SR) has selected TIBERO, the innovative relational database system from TmaxSoft, as an integral part of its integrated information frameworks. The company’s middleware products are also being implemented to manage applications such as ticketing systems. SR is an affiliate of Korea Railroad Corp. (KORAIL), handing the high-speed railways linking the Suseo station in southern Seoul to major regional cities such as Busan and Mokpo. First developed in 2003, it was designed to cater for large-scale enterprise environments.

Through efficient resource utilisation, TIBERO ensures optimal performance even when processing large data loads. TIBERO active clustering technology can be highly scaled out to support increasing workloads and user numbers. By applying shared disk based clustering technology, it provides seamless and reliable services with various tools that enhance the productivity for new solutions development and system operations. The line, which will open from next year, will become part of the Korea Tran Express (KRX) system.
TmaxSoft won the deal on a turnkey basis, meaning that it will handle from system construction to maintenance for a certain period.

Early this year, TmaxSoft also won a major deal with the Korean Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) to supply its managed systems for aviation telecom services, valued at about 75 billion Korean won.
