We have just won a major new contract to supply our RDBMS (Tibero) and middleware (JEUS and WebtoB) products for Koscom’s ‘New Management Information System’, which will be built in a cloud environment.

Koscom (Korea Securities Computing Corporation) itself is a Korean financial IT solutions company launched by the Ministry of Finance (MOSF) and the Korea Exchange (KRX) in 1977. It has five corporate divisions with providing IT infrastructure to the Korean financial securities and futures market. Koscom also offers online stock trading systems that enable users to access to financial database and place trades by Home Trading System or using a customized terminal for professional traders in securities as well as other electronic financial services.

The ‘New Management Information System’ will integrate disparate management systems into a single system. This will allow the company to establish an efficient management system, improve business productivity, and actively respond to a continuously changing management environment.

TmaxSoft will be replacing Oracle’s RDBMS and middleware, which were implemented in Koscom’s existing system. By adopting our Tibero product, Koscom plans to develop a statistics database to minimize manual tasks, thereby improving operational productivity. As well, the company plans to integrate distributed data to improve operational efficiency.
