Joint campaign to reduce operating costs and to eliminate the time and headache of a potential Oracle audit
We are delighted to announce that we have entered into a strategic partnership with Aspera, a leading pioneer in strategic Software Asset Management (SAM). Under the terms of the partnership agreement, Aspera and TmaxSoft will join forces to offer a baseline assessment for enterprises using Oracle databases.
The assessment is run on a hosting solution from Aspera, which will take multiple sources of information (including script, sccm, etc.) and provide a complete licensing position for that enterprise’s Oracle estate. The initiative is applicable to an Oracle Database compliance baseline only and not other Oracle products.
Software licensing for Oracle customers has plagued businesses for many years. Using Oracle software means managers face the daunting task of squaring their company’s software estate to avoid the threat of a software audit, and it’s not uncommon for businesses to have thousands of Oracle’s products embedded in layers of infrastructure. Through this joint initiative with one of the world’s leading SAM vendors, we believe that we can help organizations shine a light on the costs associated – and very often hidden – with their existing Oracle licensing position.
Alexander Lodenkemper – Director of Sales International at Aspera, commented on the partnership: “Far too often we are seeing software publishers exploiting the ambiguity in their license models for commercial advantage, leaving end user customer dazed and confused. It is our goal to work with TmaxSoft to help CIOs and their IT teams vastly reduce operating costs and eliminate the time and headache of a potential Oracle audit.”
Tibero is an enterprise database designed from its inception to facilitate efficient and flexible integration of data and business logic, as well as providing various database management utilities. It meets these needs perfectly by supporting the database infrastructure, the foundation for corporate businesses, providing both high performance and reliability. Tibero enables economical use of system resources to provide excellent performance.
Tibero has an innovative architecture that can integrate any existing database management system, without modifying existing applications, thus offering maximum efficiency. It was developed to meet the demand for massive data processing, and designed for large scale operating environments by providing more robust security, performance, scalability, as well as compatibility with other databases such as Oracle.
Introducing competition that is offering viable alternative software, which is not only compatible with Oracle databases but also competitively priced, will give customers the power of choice. This will cause a power shift; instead of having to accommodate to Oracle, customers will be able to make an informed decision about where to purchase their software, based on customer feedback, technological solutions, pricing and licensing structures.
